The Showgirl competition aims to find a young women to be an ambassador for Coffs Harbour.
Contestants are judged on personality, confidence, ambition and life goals, rural knowledge, presentation, and speech. Finalists are also asked to demonstrate knowledge of their local community and current affairs.
The competition is no beauty contest, nor is it a intelligence test. The award provides an opportunity to excel in leadership, community involvement, key management and confidence. The winner will go on to represent the Coffs Harbour Show at Zone where they have the opportunity to compete against other Zone 1 finalists, with two winners going on to compete at the Royal Sydney Show.
6th April; Entrant form due
12th April; Etiquette Workshop; From 4-7pm. Gain etiquette tips, make up tips and receive your information booklet for the competition.
16th/17th April; Interviews. 15 minutes each in front of a panel of judges where showgirls are asked questions from their entrant form as well as the information booklet.
24th April; Official Reception, from 5:30-7:30pm. An opportunity to showgirls to network and thank supporters of the Showgirl competition and the Show. Senior Showgirls are asked a question on stage.
28th April; Grand Parade; assist with the setting up of the show and participate in the official opening of the show, the grand parade.
