Hendra Update - February 17, 2014

HENDRA UPDATE: We have taken advice from Vet and changed our Hendra vaccination rule for 2014.  Vaccination will be essential for horses over 12 months of age who will be stabled at Coffs.

If attending daily, vaccination will not be essential this year.

ANSWER TO WEANLING QUESTION: Coffs Harbour Show stipulates that only horses over 12 months of age who will be stabling on grounds must be vaccinated.  Note that if there was a Hendra case diagnosed these unvaccinated horses would not be allowed home until the quarantine ended.
